Precision Machining
Are you into gadgets? Do you love using your brain and your hands? Check out Precision Machining (formerly known as Modern Machine Technology)! You’ll learn basic mechanics and manual manufacturing techniques — and will operate CNC (computer numerically controlled) and CAM (computer aided machining) equipment in our renovated manufacturing lab. You’ll also create projects using a 3D printer and other state-of-the art equipment. Upon completion of the program, you’ll be ready for a career in manufacturing or a step ahead for an engineering or technology major in college.
LaPorte County is the air compressor capital of the world! Because of this, Manufacturing is a high wage, high demand career in LaPorte County.
